Norman Silverstone, age 85 of Trumbull, died on Monday, January 19, 2009 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Mr. Silverstone was born in Bridgeport, a son of the late Harry and Ann (Golden) Silverstone, and was a veteran of World War II, having served his country in the U.S. Army. Mr. Silverstone was the proprietor of Silverstone Electric, and a member of the I.B.E.W. 488, and the N.E.C.A. Mr. Silverstone is survived by his beloved wife, Muriel (Schwartz) Silverstone; his devoted children, Philip Silverstone and his wife Melissa of Woodbridge, Marlene Silverstone of Brookline, Mass.; his adored grandchildren, Elise and Jared Silverstone; cherished sister, Sylvia Weiss of Greenwich; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Silverstone was predeceased by his twin brother, Marvin, in 2004. Services will take place on Tuesday January 20, 2009 (TODAY) at 2 p.m. from The Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home 88 Beach Road in Fairfield, with interment following at Rodeph Sholom Cemetery on Kings Hwy. in Fairfield.
